GIOVANNA’S LITTLE CORNER

The Floured Counter

A little baking. A lot of life.
And room for whatever comes next.

Let’s see where this goes
A blue-and-white bowl of flour, with a wooden spoon.

First, a little
flour.

Something to stir. Something to knead.
Something worth waiting for.

A flour-dusted homemade loaf and one slice on an old wooden breadboard.

Then, life
happens.

Three boys. A fourth on the way.
A life with Isaac. A very full table.

Three boys, and another place at the table soon.

Not everything
needs a recipe.

Sometimes it’s something I baked.
Sometimes it’s something I think.
Sometimes, who knows?

My words. Whichever way they come.Meet the person behind them
An open notebook with a small drawn flower and an old wooden pencil.

Oh, hello.
I’m Giovanna.

A stay-at-home mom, a wife to Isaac,
and the person leaving flour everywhere.

I love baking and cooking. I also have a house full of boys and a head full of things that have nothing to do with either.

So this is a place for all of it. The things I make, the life we’re living, and whatever the heck I feel like writing about. In whatever way I feel like writing it.

No particular niche. No perfect kitchen.
Just me, making a little room.

Glad you found your way here.Giovanna

An imagined English cottage kitchen, with a warm range and a flour-dusted wooden counter.
The kitchen is the beginning.
Not the boundary.

Let’s leave a little
room for more.

No grand plan. Just a place to begin.
You’re welcome back whenever you like.
